Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information the Viraly iOS app (the "App") processes, why, and the choices you have. We designed Viraly to collect as little as possible: no user account is required and we do not sell your personal data. With your permission, the App uses Apple's App Tracking Transparency and Meta's measurement tools so we can see how well our ads perform — you can decline this when prompted, and nothing in the App depends on it (see Advertising measurement).

1. Information we process

Videos you submit. When you paste a public video link, our server downloads that public video temporarily to analyze it. You can also choose a video from your photo library to analyze; that file is sent to our server for the same one-time analysis. Submitted and uploaded videos are deleted from our server automatically after analysis (typically within minutes).

Your Instagram data (only if you connect it). If you choose to connect your Instagram professional account through Instagram's official login, we receive an access token and use it to retrieve your profile information, your posts, and their performance insights (views, reach, likes, comments, shares, saves). The token is stored securely on our server and is used only to show you your own analytics and power coaching features. We never see or store your Instagram password. You can disconnect in the App at any time, which deletes the token, and you can also revoke access in Instagram's settings.

Onboarding answers. Quiz answers you give during onboarding (e.g. your goals and niche) are used to personalize your AI analysis. They are processed transiently and are not linked to your identity.

Feedback. Optional thumbs up/down ratings on analyses are stored in aggregate to improve quality. They contain no personal identifiers.

Handle you enter for analytics. When you enter your (or any public) Instagram or TikTok handle in "My Analytics," our server retrieves that account's publicly visible information — profile details and recent public posts with their public counts (views, likes, comments, and, on TikTok, shares) — to show you analytics and an AI grade. This uses only public data; no login or password is involved, and no private metrics (such as Instagram reach or saves) are accessed.

2. AI processing

Video content, public engagement statistics, and (if connected) your Instagram insights are processed by our server using Google's Gemini AI models to generate analyses, audits, strategies, and scripts. Public profile and post statistics for Instagram and TikTok may be retrieved through data providers (e.g. Apify) when you analyze a public account or handle. These providers process data on our behalf and do not receive your identity from us.

3. Advertising measurement (Meta)

So we can tell whether our ads actually bring people to Viraly, the App includes Meta's (Facebook's) measurement SDK. It records a small set of standard events — installing or opening the App, completing onboarding, and starting a subscription — and reports them to Meta so we can measure and improve our ad campaigns. We use this for measurement only: the App has no Facebook login, asks for no Facebook data, and shows no third-party ads inside it.

Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple. We never receive your payment details. Apple's privacy policy governs payment processing.

Data in transit is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS. Access tokens are stored with restricted file permissions on our server and are never shipped inside the App.

8. Children

The App is intended for users 13 and older and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Your rights

Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR, CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Because we hold almost no personal data, most requests are satisfied by disconnecting Instagram in the App or declining tracking; for anything else, contact us and we will help promptly.
